Here are the details of who played in which
team and like everything
there may be errors in my records.
Bank of Ceylon "B"
K S Ponnadurai, R Kitulgoda, C V
Sebastian,M Forouk,M Divitowela
S Rangalla G Seneviratne P Abhayawickrema L

M Jayawardene not sure if he was in the A or B
The Rest made up the "A": Team
including reserves. Because the
BOC fielded two teams, we were given an
option to use three players
as interchange between the teams. Looking at
the photograph I feel sad
as a few of them are now no longer with us ie
M Issadeen, F Amerasinghe(what a great person he was)Chandrasekeran, S Perera,
M de Silva and
C Sebastian plus those absent from the
photograph Tony Adahan, Divitotawela G Seneviratne.
When the combined Banks played the State Bank
of India when they
toured Sri Lanka in 1962 the majority of the
team came from the Bank of Ceylon (selection was done by an independent
Committee chaired by
D K Subramanian Controller of Establishments
Central Bank) This was good as it avoided controversy Nine of the eleven came
from BOC, then there was Spencer Herft and Darryl Maye from HSBC. We lost
4-1 the
State Bank was practically an All India side
with about 6 Indian National
Players.
